A Piapot First Nation woman, who has been committed to stand trial on charges stemming from a fatal vehicle/pedestrian collision in the summer of 2019, has made another court appearance. 43-year-old Leah Pratt, charged with Dangerous Driving Causing Death and Criminal Negligence Causing Death, will be back in Regina Court of Queen’s Bench on November 19th. Southey RCMP were called to the scene of the incident on August 24th 2019, where a woman confirmed she had struck the victim with her vehicle on a driveway at a home on the reserve. 33-year-old Nolan Sugar was pronounced dead at a Regina hospital.
