Manitoba COVID-19 Update for Friday: 201 new cases, 145 recoveries, 4 deaths

An increase in new COVID-19 cases was observed on Manitoba’s Dashboard with 201.

That brings the overall total to 66,378.

The Southern Health Region has 66 new cases, the Winnipeg Health Region 62, the Prairie Mountain and Northern Health Regions each have 26 new cases, and the Interlake-Eastern Health Region has 21.

By vaccination status, 116 of the new cases are unvaccinated, 6 partially-vaccinated and 79 fully-vaccinated.

As of today (Fri), 154 individuals are in hospital, including 29 in Intensive Care Units, and 145 people recovered, increasing that total to 63,644.

There are 1,449 active cases across the province, including 178 in the Prairie Mountain Health Region.

The provincial COVID-19 death toll moved up by 4 to 1,285.

An additional 3,375 tests for COVID-19 were done in the province, upping the total to 1,145,164.

Manitoba’s test positivity rate is 5.2 percent.
