Saskatchewan COVID-19 Update: 89 new cases, 83 recoveries, 3 deaths

The trend of low COVID-19 case counts continues in Saskatchewan, as 89 new cases were recorded today (Fri).
The new cases are located in the Far North West (1), North West (4), North Central (3), North East (1), Saskatoon (27), Central West (4), Central East (26), Regina (10), South West (2), South Central (2) and South East (6) zones and three (3) new cases have pending residence information.
14 cases with pending residence information were reassigned to North Central (from November 17 (3)), Saskatoon (from November 14 (1), November 16 (1)), Central West (from September 14 (1)), Central East (from November 15 (1), November 17 (2)), Regina (from November 14 (1), November 15 (1), November 17 (2)), and South Central (from November 17 (1)) zones.
One case was removed from total case counts from Far North West zone (from November 15 (1)), 2021.
The total number of COVID hospitalizations is down to 157, 39 in ICU, and one more patient has been repatriated back to Saskatchewan, reducing the number of out-of-province ICU patients to 10.
Three more deaths due to COVID-19 brings the provincial total to 908, with one each in the South Central, Regina and South East regions.

There are 1-thousand 102 active cases in the province, including 163 in the Central East.
The Dashboard also reported 2,032 new vaccine doses, with 518 of those first doses, and 1,514 second doses.
An additional 1,644 new COVID-19 tests were conducted in the province, increasing the total to 1,259,771.
The seven day average of daily new cases is down to 97 (8.0 new cases per 100,000).
Other highlights:
  • 80,025 cases are confirmed.
    • 19,524 cases are from the North area (8,684 North West, 8,027 North Central, 2,813 North East)
    • 19,151 cases are from the Saskatoon area
    • 15,685 cases are from the Regina area
    • 9,912 cases are from the South area (2,162 South West, 2,923 South Central, 4,827 South East)
    • 9,293 cases are from the Far North area (4,371 Far North West, 541 Far North Central, 4,381 Far North East)
    • 5,904 cases are from the Central area (1,427 Central West, 4,477 Central East)
    • 556 cases have pending residence information
  • 1,102 cases are considered active and 78,015 cases are considered recovered.
  • Over one-third (34.8%) of new cases are in the age category of 20 to 39 years.
  • Almost one-half (45.1%) of new cases eligible for vaccination (aged 12 years and older) was fully vaccinated.
  • Of the 157 patients, 109 (69.4%) were not fully vaccinated.
  • 1,259,771 COVID-19 tests have been performed in the province. As of November 17, 2021, when other provincial and national numbers are available from PHAC, Saskatchewan’s per capita rate was 1,062,673 tests performed per million population. The national rate was 1,255,954 tests performed per million population.
