Saskatchewan Announced 73 New Cases Of COVID-19, 121 Recoveries, 1 Death

  • As of November 22nd, there are 73 new confirmed cases of COVID-19, bringing the total to 80,413 reported cases.
  • The new cases are located in the Far North East (1), North West (3), North Central (13), Saskatoon (11), Central East (4), Regina (10), South West (2), South Central (11) and South East (10) zones and eight (8) new cases have pending residence information.
  • Eight (8) cases with pending residence information were reassigned to Far North East (from October 24 (3)), North Central (from October 22 (1), November 20 (3)), and South East (from November 20 (1)) zones.

  • 80,413 cases are confirmed
    • 19,645 cases are from the North area (8,734 North West, 8,089 North Central, 2,822 North East)
    • 19,227 cases are from the Saskatoon area
    • 15,743 cases are from the Regina area
    • 9,992 cases are from the South area (2,174 South West, 2,943 South Central, 4,875 South East)
    • 9,311 cases are from the Far North area (4,380 Far North West, 541 Far North Central, 4,390 Far North East)
    • 5,929 cases are from the Central area (1,429 Central West, 4,500 Central East)
    • 566 cases have pending residence information
  • 998 cases are considered active and 78,503 cases are considered recovered.
  • Less than one-third (31.5%) of new cases are in the age category of 20 to 39 years.
  • Almost one-half (47.3%) of new cases eligible for vaccination (aged 12 years and older) was fully vaccinated.
  • As of November 22nd, a total of 152 individuals are hospitalized; including 117 inpatient hospitalizations, and 35 ICU hospitalizations. Of the 152 patients, 108 (71.1%) were not fully vaccinated.
  • In addition to SK ICUs, there are eight (8) residents in out-of-province ICUs.  As these patients are receiving care out of province, this number is not included in the hospitalization counts in dashboard.
  • One (1) new deaths reported today. 912 Saskatchewan residents with COVID-19 have died with a case fatality rate of 1.1%
  • 1,264,327 COVID-19 tests have been performed in the province. As of November 18, 2021, when other provincial and national numbers are available from PHAC, Saskatchewan’s per capita rate was 1,063,576 tests performed per million. The national rate was 1,252,149 tests performed per million.
  • The 7-day average of new COVID-19 case numbers was 105 (8.8 new cases per 100,000).
