With the approval of the Pfizer pediatric vaccine by Health Canada, Saskatchewan is preparing to roll out vaccines for the 5 to 11 age group.
Over 112-thousand doses of the pediatric vaccine are expected to arrive in the province over the coming days.
The pediatric vaccine will be offered at 221 clinics in 141 communities across the province, as well as at Indigenous Service Canada, Northern Inter-Tribal Health Authority and participating pharmacies.
Clinics will also be held at more than 100 schools in Saskatchewan, and parent or guardian consent is required before a child can receive the vaccine.
