Charges Against A Man Who Allegedly Ran Over A Sask. Mountie Have Been Upgraded

An update in the case of two Winnipeg residents charged in the death of an RCMP officer.

42-year-old Alphonse Traverse and 43-year-old Marlene Pagee were originally charged with Manslaughter, in the death of Indian Head RCMP Constable Shelby Patton.

However, the charge against Traverse has been upgraded to First Degree Murder, while the Manslaughter charge agaist Pagee has been withdrawn, and she is now charged with Accessory After the Fact to Murder.

Traverse will return to Regina court December 20th, while Pagee will return there next Thursday (Dec. 2).

On June 12th, in Wolseley, Constable Patton stopped a truck that had reportedly been stolen in Manitoba, and while Patton was out of his vehicle, the truck allegedly ran him over.
