Saskatchewan Reports 49 New Cases Of COVID-19, 88 Recoveries, 1 Death

  • As of November 29, there are 49 new confirmed cases of COVID-19, bringing the total to 80,950 reported cases.
  • The new cases are located in the Far North East (1), North West (5), North Central (5), North East (1), Saskatoon (8), Central East (6), Regina (13), South West (1), South Central (2) and South East (6) zones and one (1) new case has pending residence information.

  • 80,950 cases are confirmed
    • 19,774 cases are from the North area (8,793 North West, 8,147 North Central, 2,834 North East)
    • 19,316 cases are from the Saskatoon area
    • 15,827 cases are from the Regina area
    • 10,131 cases are from the South area (2,185 South West, 2,967 South Central, 4,979 South East)
    • 9,341 cases are from the Far North area (4,391 Far North West, 541 Far North Central, 4,409 Far North East)
    • 6,033 cases are from the Central area (1,436 Central West, 4,597 Central East)
    • 528 cases have pending residence information
  • 858 cases are considered active and 79,166 cases are considered recovered.
  • Over one-quarter (26.5%) of new cases are in the age category of 11 or under.
  • About one in twelve (8.3%) new cases eligible for vaccination (aged 12 years and older) was fully vaccinated.
  • As of November 29, a total of 130 individuals are hospitalized; including 91 inpatient hospitalizations, and 39 ICU hospitalizations. Of the 130 patients, 89 (68.5%) were not fully vaccinated.
  • In addition to SK ICU counts, there are five residents receiving out of province care in hospital. As these patients are receiving care out of province, this number is not included in the hospitalization counts in the dashboard.
  • One (1) new death reported today. 926 Saskatchewan residents with COVID-19 have died with a case fatality rate of 1.1%
  • There has been a reported 16,696 doses administered in the five to 11 age range (Far North West 179; Far North Central 6; Far North East 137; North West 1,052; North Central 695; North East 195; Saskatoon 6,098; Regina 4,591; Central West 341; Central East 990; South West 546; South Central 711; South East 985; unable to assign 170). The five to 11 vaccination data will be added to the COVID-19 dashboard this week. Note: 11 year olds who will turn 12 in 2021 previously reported in the 12 to 17 category are now included in the five to 11 category.
  • 1,276,376 COVID-19 tests have been performed in the province. As of November 25, 2021, when other provincial and national numbers are available from PHAC, Saskatchewan’s per capita rate was 1,075,649 tests performed per million. The national rate was 1,267,726 tests performed per million.
  • The 7-day average of new COVID-19 case numbers was 77 (6.4 new cases per 100,000).
