Saskatchewan Reports 81 New Cases Of COVID-19, 61 Recoveries, 1 Death

  • As of December 1st, there are 81 new confirmed cases of COVID-19, bringing the total to 81,074 reported cases
  • The new cases are located in the Far North West (1), Far North East (3), North West (6), North Central (9), Saskatoon (6), Central West (1), Central East (8), Regina (8), South West (3), South Central (2) and South East (31) zones and three (3) new cases have pending residence information
  • One (1) case with pending residence information was assigned to the North Central (from November 29 (1)) zone
  • One (1) SK resident tested out-of-province was added to the case count of Central East (from November 29 (1)) zone

  • 81,074 cases are confirmed
    • 19,794 cases are from the North area (8,801 North West, 8,159 North Central, 2,834 North East)
    • 19,331 cases are from the Saskatoon area
    • 15,842 cases are from the Regina area
    • 10,175 cases are from the South area (2,190 South West, 2,972 South Central, 5,013 South East)
    • 9,347 cases are from the Far North area (4,394 Far North West, 541 Far North Central, 4,412 Far North East)
    • 6,052 cases are from the Central area (1,437 Central West, 4,615 Central East)
    • 533 cases have pending residence information
  • 735 cases are considered active and 79,412 cases are considered recovered
  • More than one-quarter (27.2%) of new cases are in the age category of 5 to 11
  • Almost one-third (31.2%) of new cases eligible for vaccination (aged 5 years and older) were fully vaccinated
  • As of December 1st, a total of 133  individuals are hospitalized, including 98 inpatient hospitalizations and 35 ICU hospitalizations. Of the 133 patients, 90 (67.7%) were not fully vaccinated.
  • In addition to SK ICU counts, there are four residents receiving out of province care in hospital. As these patients are receiving care out of province, this number is not included in the hospitalization counts in the dashboard. There has been one repatriation since yesterday’s report.
  • One (1) new death reported today. 927 Saskatchewan residents with COVID-19 have died, with a case fatality rate of 1.1%.
  • 1,279,706 COVID-19 tests have been performed in the province. As of November 29, 2021, when other provincial and national numbers are available from PHAC, Saskatchewan’s per capita rate was 1,081,042 tests performed per million. The national rate was 1,276,134 tests performed per million.
  • The 7-day average of new COVID-19 case numbers was 72 (6.0 new cases per 100,000)
