A new court date has been set for a former Yorkton man arrested in connection with the death of a one-year-old girl in Regina last October. In Regina court, 21-year-old Bailey Peepeetch had a preliminary hearing set for February 14th. He was originally arrested for Aggravated Assault, but the charge was upgraded to Manslaughter when the girl died two days later. Police began investigating when they were called to a hospital for a report of a critically injured child, and that the injuries were suspected to be the result of physical abuse.
