Saskatchewan has announced an aggressive plan to recover from the backlog of surgeries brought on by the COVID-19 pandemic. Health Minister Paul Merriman says targets have been set to perform an additional 18 thousand surgeries over the next 3 years. Merriman adds the plan will also include new measures to increase capacity in hospitals and in publicly funded private surgical clinics.
