Saskatchewan Reports 47 New Cases Of COVID-19, 66 Recoveries, 4 Deaths

  • As of December 14th, there are 47 new confirmed cases of COVID-19, bringing the total to 81,899 reported cases.
  • The new cases are located in the Far North West (1), North West (4), North Central (5), Saskatoon (13), Central East (5), Regina (13), South Central (1), South East (4), and one (1) new case has pending residence information.

  • 81,899 cases are confirmed
    • 19,943 cases are from the North area (8,863 North West, 8,243 North Central, 2,837 North East)
    • 19,530 cases are from the Saskatoon area
    • 15,987 cases are from the Regina area
    • 10,328 cases are from the South area (2,199 South West, 3,011 South Central, 5,118 South East)
    • 9,386 cases are from the Far North area (4,410 Far North West, 541 Far North Central, 4,435 Far North East)
    • 6,181 cases are from the Central area (1,446 Central West, 4,735 Central East)
    • 544 cases have pending residence information
  • 545 cases are considered active and 80,413 cases are considered recovered.
  • Just over one-quarter (25.5%) of new cases are in the age category of 20 to 39.
  • More than two-fifth (42.2%) of new cases eligible for vaccination (aged 5 years and older) were fully vaccinated.
  • As of December 14th, a total of 110 individuals are hospitalized, including 76 inpatient hospitalizations and 34 ICU hospitalizations. Of the 110 patients, 69 (62.7%) were not fully vaccinated.
  • In addition to SK ICU counts, there is one resident receiving out of province care in hospital. As this patient is receiving care out of province, this number is not included in the hospitalization counts in the dashboard.
  • Four (4) new deaths reported today. 941 Saskatchewan residents with COVID-19 have died, with a case fatality rate of 1.1%.
  • 1,301,497 COVID-19 tests have been performed in the province. As of December 12th, 2021, when other provincial and national numbers are available from PHAC, Saskatchewan’s per capita rate was 1,100,305 tests performed per million.  The national rate was 1,311,192 tests performed per million.
  • The 7-day average of new COVID-19 case numbers was 54 (4.5 new cases per 100,000).
