Yorkton Airport To Receive Provincial Funding

Five airports in Saskatchewan are receiving 320-thousand dollars in funding through the province’s Community Airport Partnership.

12-thousand dollars will go to the Yorkton airport for two radio frequency signs, beacon light repairs and additional anchor stakes.

The projects are expected to go ahead in 2021 and 2022.

This year, the provincial goverment committed a record 1.5-million dollars to community airport improvements, including 650-thousand dollars in stimulus funding.
