Manitoba is tightening up restrictions in the province, as the spread of COVID-19 ramps up.
Chief Public Health Officer Dr. Brent Roussin says new public health orders will take effect at midnight on Monday.
Private gatherings will be limited to a household plus 10 if everyone is vaccinated, if there is anyone that is unvaccinated, the limit will be the household plus five.
Public indoor gatherings will be limited to 25% capacity, outdoor gatherings will see a maximum of 50% capacity, both where proof of vaccination is not required.
Gyms, movie theatres, licensed establishments, museums and libraries will continue to require proof of vaccination, but will be capped at 50% capacity.
Licensed and unlicensed restaurants will also keep their proof of vaccination requirements, but will only have a maximum of 10 people at a table.
For sports, tournaments will not be allowed, however, games and practices may continue.
Spectator capacity will continue to see a proof of vaccine requirement, but capacity will be limited to 50%.
The public health orders will remain in effect until January 11th.
