In the first meeting since January 2020, it was the Portage Terriers getting the better of the Swan Valley Stampeders on Friday.
Mason Smith scored a couple goals while Logan Calder and Matt Wisener chipped in with singles to lead the Terriers to a 4-2 victory.
Noah Fladager got the Stamps’ on the board in the 2nd, and then Jackson Betcher pulled them within one with a 3rd period powerplay goal, but that’s as close as they would get.
The two teams will wrap up the 2021 portion of their schedules on Saturday night at Stride Place for a 7:30PM puck-drop.
