The NCC Says Save Those Natural X-Mas Trees

Don’t know what to do with your live Christmas tree? Well Nature Conservancy Canada has a suggestion. Instead of taking the trees to the dump, the NCC suggests that residents place their trees in their backyards to provide birds some shelter for the winter months. By spring, the tree will lose most of its needles, where resident can cut the tree branches and lay them where spring flowers are starting to emerge. The tree branches can shelter wildflowers, hold moisture, help build the soil and provide a habitat for toads, insects and other pollinators.
