Ste. Rose RCMP are investigating the death of a 30-year-old man from McCreary.

Yesterday afternoon (Wed), RCMP received a report of a missing man, who was last seen early that morning leaving a home in the Ochre River area and was believed to be returning to McCreary.

The man’s vehicle was found on Provincial Road 582, west of the community of Makinak, and the search continued until 8 p.m. due to the extreme cold.

This morning (Thurs), officers located the man deceased about a kilometre away from his vehicle.
