A house fire in Bowsman, early this morning (Tue), has claimed a life.

Swan River RCMP responded to the structure fire, and upon arrival, they were advised that the homeowner may still be inside.

Firefighters began extinguishing the fire, which allowed them to enter the residence and locate the homeowner.

The 51-year-old male was removed from the residence and pronounced dead at the scene.

No other injuries were reported and the cause of the fire remains under investigation.
