Federal and provincial funding is being pursued by the city of Yorkton for a project under the 2023 budget. Structural upgrades will be made to the Godfrey Dean Cultural Centre to the tune of 205-thousand dollars. An application will be submitted by the city for funding under the Investing in Canadian Infrastructure Program, which could see up to one third of the cost covered by the provincial government, and up to 40% of the cost covered by the federal government. Whether the application is accepted or not, the city will still go ahead with the project.
