Saskatchewan Records 945 New Cases Of COVID-19, 405 Recoveries, No Deaths

  • As of January 13th, there are 945 new confirmed cases of COVID-19, bringing the total to 96,125 reported cases.
  • The new cases are located in the Far North West (5), Far North Central (2), Far North East (2), North West (30), North Central (32), North East (30), Saskatoon (294), Central West (10), Central East (66), Regina (283), South West (28), South Central (17) and South East (51) zones and 95 new cases have pending residence information.
  • Eight (8) cases were assigned to the North Central (from January 6 (1), January 7(1), January 8 (1)), North West (from January 7 (2), January 10 (1), January 11 (1)), and South Central (from January 5 (1)) zones.
  • Six (6) SK residents tested out-of-province were added to the case counts in the Saskatoon (from January 10 (3)), and Regina (from January 5 (1), January 10 (2)) zones.

    • 24,099 cases are from the Saskatoon area
    • 21,186 cases are from the North area (9,332 North West, 8,754 North Central, 3,100 North East)
    • 19,834 cases are from the Regina area
    • 9,639 cases are from the Far North area (4,555 Far North West, 545 Far North Central, 4,539 Far North East)
    • 12,414 cases are from the South area (2,566 South West, 3,652 South Central, 6,196 South East)
    • 7,458 cases are from the Central area (1711 Central West, 5,747 Central East)
    • 1495 cases have pending residence information
  • 9,252 cases are considered active and 85,912 cases are considered recovered.
  • Just over two-fifths (41.9%) of new cases are in the age category of 20 to 39.
  • As of January 13th, a total of 123 individuals are hospitalized, including 112 inpatient hospitalizations and 11 ICU hospitalizations. Of the 123 patients, 52 (42.3%) were not fully vaccinated.
  • The SHA dashboard includes 123 hospitalizations: 112 residents are inpatient: of those, 55 inpatient hospitalizations are a COVID-19-related illness, 46 are incidental, asymptomatic infections and 11 have not yet been determined. 11 residents are in ICUs: of those, 6 are for COVID-19-related illnesses, 5 is incidental, asymptomatic infections.
  • No (0) new death reported today. 961 Saskatchewan residents with COVID-19 have died, with a case fatality rate of 1.0.
  • 1,370,429 COVID-19 tests have been performed in the province. As of January 11, 2022, when other provincial and national numbers are available from PHAC, Saskatchewan’s per capita rate was 1,154,902 tests performed per million. The national rate was 1,426,899 tests performed per million.
  • The 7-day average of new COVID-19 case numbers was 1,060 (88.0 new cases per 100,000).
  • Since January 1, the New Cases by Vaccination Status table has shown a significant number of new cases as unvaccinated. This data is not accurate. This table is no longer featured on the dashboard until a review of the information is complete and the data rectified.
