Manitoba’s Independent Investigation Unit has decided to level charges against an RCMP officer after a vehicle collision near Minnedosa.
On September 10th, an unmarked police vehicle was conducting traffic enforcement on Highway 16 near Minnedosa when a westbound vehicle committed an offence.
The unmarked vehicle activated the emergency lights and attempted to make a U-turn when it was struck by an eastbound vehicle, resulting in the passenger suffering a fractured sternum.
The IIU determined that the police officer committed an offence, and they are charged with Careless Driving.
