Manitoba preparing for the spring run-off

The Shellmouth Reservoir will see an increase in outflow in preparation for the spring run-off.

Today (Fri) the outflow will be increased to 500 cubic feet per second from 250, and tomorrow (Sat) it will be further increased to 800 cubic feet per second.

Tomorrow’s (Sat) release will raise the Assiniboine River water levels by three to four feet between the Shellmouth Dam and Brandon.

The province will continue to monitor conditions in the upper Assiniboine River.
