A firearm incident is under investigation by the Swan River RCMP.

On Saturday, a 24-year-old male from Swan River was sitting in a vehicle, while another male he was with was having a discussion with an unknown person outside of the vehicle.

The discussion escalated and a shot was fired striking the male inside the vehicle, and he was transported to hospital before being transferred to Winnipeg, where he remains.

The second male received minor injuries, but police have been unable to locate him, or the suspect who used the firearm.
