RCMP in Swan River are investigating a shooting and arson.

On Sunday, Swan River RCMP responded to a structure fire in the Starlite Trailer Court, where most of the flames were concentrated to a side window, and no one was inside.

Then early this morning (Tue), Mounties responded to shots fired at a residence on 6th Avenue, where police found the window of a vehicle shot out, and no injuries were reported.

The RCMP believe that the events are targeted at specific individuals and are not randomly occurring to unknown individuals.

Mounties are also investigating a death.

Yesterday (mon) Swan River RCMP were alerted by the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner that a 38-year-old Brandon man had died.

The man arrived at the hospital in Swan River on January 29th before being transferred to Brandon, where he succumbed to his injuries.

His death is considered suspicious.
