A 44-year-old man facing several charges stemming from an alleged assault in the R.M. of Kelsey, was back in court on Tuesday.

On November 20th, When RCMP from The Pas arrived at the home, they were told the suspect was inside the residence along with other adults and children, and was in possession of a firearm.

The victim of the alleged assault, a 21-year-old woman was found outside the residence with minor injuries, and after several hours of negotiation, the suspect exited the house and was arrested without incident, and police seized a firearm and ammunition.

Jeremy Cook, of the R.M. of Kelsey, will make his next appearance in The Pas Court on February 23rd.
