Emerson, Manitoba border crossing cleared after six days of protests over COVID-19 vaccine mandates, public health restrictions

The blockade at the border crossing in Emerson, Manitoba is being cleared.

Manitoba RCMP say full access of the port of entry was restored at noon today (Wed).

After six days, the last of the protestors of vaccine mandates and other health restrictions left the border crossing, with the escort of the Manitoba RCMP.

At its peak, it is estimated that 75 vehicles were involved in the blockade, ranging from semi-trailers to farm machinery to passenger vehicles.
