Saskatchewan’s Ministry of Health has announced that free self-test kits for HIV are now available to the public at 23 locations. They say everyone between the ages of 13 and 70 should be tested for HIV every five years, and more often, if residents are sexually active, pregnant, or share drug use equipment. Since the program began last month, over 70 HIV self-test kits have been distributed across Saskatchewan. In Yorkton, the free kits are available at the Turning Point Program, at #109 – 345 Broadway Street East, and the full list of locations can be found online, at www.saskatchewan.ca/HIV.
