Federal cabinet members are defending the move to invoke the Emergencies Act this week to deal with protests against mandatory COVID-19 vaccination and public health orders. Deputy prime minister Chrystia Freeland says part of that is tracking financial information on protesters, with the possibility of accounts being frozen, and insurance on trucks suspended.
