Funding For Manitoba Disaster Preparedness

The Manitoba government is funding 12 different municipal projects under the Mitigation and Preparedness Program to prepare for future natural disasters across the province. Locally, just under 20-thousand dollars is being given to the town of Minnedosa for drainage ditch repair and installation of erosion control netting to strengthen and stabilize the ditch slopes. The RM of Yellowhead will get over 72-hundred dollars for investment in a reserve fund, while the RM of Rossburn will get under 8-thousand dollars to purchase a generator for use at the municipal office and emergency operations centre. In all, the province is investing 186-thousand 700 dollars into the 12 projects.
