A preliminary hearing has wrapped up for a former Yorkton man charged with Manslaughter, in connection with the death of a one-year-old girl in Regina.
21-year-old Bailey Peepeetch was originally arrested for Aggravated Assault on October 7, 2020, but the charge was upgraded when the girl died two days later.
Regina Police say the investigation began when they were called to a hospital for a report of a critically injured child, and that the injuries were suspected to be the result of physical abuse.
In Regina Provincial Court on Friday (18th), Peepeetch was committed to stand trial in Regina Court of Queen’s Bench, though a date for his first appearance there remains to be set.
