Lestock-district man sentenced in connection with May 2020 Regina robbery

An admission of guilt by a Lestock-district man, charged in connection to a violent robbery.

In May of 2020 in Regina, a suspect is alleged to have dragged a man from his vehicle, took him to a home, assaulted him several times and forced the victim to inhale and ingest unknown substances.

The victim was then forced to transfer money to his assailant.

On February 4th, 31-year-old Daniel Scott appeared in Regina Provincial Court, where he pled guilty to Robbery and a breach charge, with the remaining counts against him stayed by the Crown.

Scott was handed a 729-day jail sentence, given a lifetime firearm ban, and ordered to provide a DNA sample.
