The weekly COVID-19 update has been released by Saskatchewan.

Over the past week, 9-thousand 142 COVID tests were performed, with 1-thousand 407 coming back as positive for the virus.

The province also reported an additional seven outbreaks of the virus in long-term care and care home settings, while an additional 37 deaths were recorded through the week, slightly lower than the number reported the previous week.

To date, 85.5% of residents five-years-old and older have received one dose of the COVID-19 vaccine, while 80.1% are fully vaccinated.
