January 2022 crime statistics have been released by Manitoba RCMP. Overall, the West District saw a 9% drop in calls for service, with decreases in all crime categories, except for Crimes Against Property. Common Police Activities dropped by 14%, while their was a decrease of 33% in Drug Enforcement and a 6% decrease in Crimes Against the Person. Crimes Against Property jumped by 11%, highlighted by a 44% increase in Thefts under 5-thousand dollars and a 28% increase in Breaks and Enters.
