Another court appearance for Regina man accused of trying to use counterfeit money

Another court appearance for one of two men charged following the alleged use of counterfeit hundred-dollar bills at a Regina business.

On May 10th, Regina Police were made aware that on April 17th and May 3rd, someone allegedly used or tried to use the phony money at a Dewdney Avenue business.

Further investigation resulted in two suspects identified, and a suspect vehicle located on May 11th, at a home on Alexandra Street, where search warrants were executed and two arrests were made.

37-year-old Pierre Laferte, of Regina, faces numerous charges, and remains in custody, to appear again in Regina on March 11th.

In December, the charges against his co-accused, 32-year-old Tyson Knutson of Grenfell, were dropped.
