A big event is coming up in Yorkton.
Mayor Mitch Hippsley says that the City Wide Registration Night is Wednesday, March 30 from 5:30 to 8 p.m. at the Gallagher Centre Flexi-Hall.
Sport, Culture and Recreation groups from the Yorkton area will be there to promote their programs and take registration for spring activities.
Also, Yorkton residents have a chance to purchase some trees.
Hippsley says that trees can be purchased from the Assiniboine Watershed Stewardship Association.
Proceeds from the program, Hippsley says, will be used to implement projects and programs that promote clean lakes and rivers and healthy watersheds.
The trees, being sold until April 1, can be ordered online at www.saskwatersheds.ca.
