Virden RCMP are investigating a fatal motor vehicle collision.

On Friday, an eastbound semi-truck on Highway 1 rear-ended a second semi-truck.

The driver of the first semi-truck, a 23-year-old man from Winnipeg, was pronounced dead at the scene, while the passenger, a 28-year-old man from Winnipeg, was treated for minor injuries at the scene.

The driver was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the collision, and road conditions appear to be a factor in the accident.

The driver and lone occupant of the second semi-truck was not injured.
