A C.P Rail Lock-Out Likely

Unles there’s a major breakthrough, it looks like 3 thousand workers at C.P Rail will be locked out Sunday morning. The company issued a 72 hour lock-out notice after they tabled an offer to address 26 issues, which the union rejected. Saskatchewan agriculture minister Dave Marit has already suggested Ottawa use binding arbitration to stave off a stoppage, and SARM president Ray Orb says they’ve written the federal government, requesting efforts be made to avoid a strike by railway workers.
