Arrest warrant issued for a Bjorkdale man facing multiple charges

An arrest warrant has been issued for a Bjorkdale man facing drug and firearm-related charges from a recent bust.

Last Wednesday (Mar. 16), Tisdale RCMP executed a search warrant at a Bjorkdale residence, where 252 grams of meth, 237 hydromorphone pills, drug paraphernalia, cash, a loaded prohibited firearm and ammunition were seized.

54-year-old Rudi Betthel is described as 5-feet 10-inches tall with a medium build, brown hair and blue eyes.

He is facing one count each of possession of property obtained by crime, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, possession of a prohibited weapon knowing possession unauthorized and possession of unlicensed possession of a restricted firearm with ammunition and unsafe storage of a firearm; 2 counts each of possession for the purpose of trafficking and possession of a weapon contrary to order and fail to surrender authorization; and 4 counts of fail to comply with a release order condition.
