Moose Lake, MB man facing weapon charges makes first court appearance

A Moose Lake, Manitoba man charged after a report of threats led to the seizure of a loaded shotgun and ammunition last week, has made his first court appearance.

24-year-old Wyatt Campbell faces numerous charges, including Resisting Arrest and Possession of a Weapon for a Dangerous Purpose, and on Thursday, he was remanded in custody to appear again today (MON) in The Pas.

On Wednesday morning, RCMP located several individuals walking on Trager Drive in The Pas, and after a brief chase, the individuals were arrested.

Mounties say one of those arrested was wanted on several warrants, and was found to be in possession of ammunition. A loaded shotgun was found in the area.

The other individuals were released without charges, and the investigation continues.
