A 33-year-old man has been charged with multiple firearm offences, after the seizure of multiple long guns and ammunition from a Virden home.
Last Thursday (Mar. 24), Virden RCMP received information that there were firearms inside a residence on Princess Street West in Virden.
Five long guns, including one that was loaded, and ammunition were seized, and further investigation determined the guns were unlawfully possessed.
RCMP allege the suspect, Justin Boyd, was found to be in possession of methamphetamine, so he was charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance, and was initially arrested before being released. The investigation is ongoing.
