SasskPower Updates Southwest Outage, And Applies For Rate Hike

SaskPower hopes to have service fully restored in southwest Saskatchewan today, after it was disrupted by a winter storm. Service has already resumed in most of Maple Creek, Shaunavon and Tompkins. They will have 19 crews out, and plan on an aerial survey to check damage.
Meantime, SaskPower has asked the rate review panel for a $5 increase to homes starting in September and another $5 increase in April, 2023. Farm customers would see increases of $12 in September and another $12 next April.
