A Piapot First Nation woman, who has been committed to stand trial this fall on charges stemming from a fatal vehicle/pedestrian collision in the summer of 2019, has made another court appearance. 45-year-old Leah Pratt is charged with Dangerous Driving Causing Death and Criminal Negligence Causing Death, and will stand trial in Regina Court of Queen’s Bench on October 3rd, though her next pretrial appearance will be on May 13th.
A trial date has been set for a 56-year-old woman, on charges stemming from an incident last May on the Pasqua First Nation, after a man was hit by a vehicle, and later taken to hospital for treatment. Laurenda Kahnapace trial by judge alone is set for June 27th, in Regina Court of Queen’s Bench.
A Roblin man who had been wanted on a bench warrant for over a year, after failing to appear in Regina Court of Queen’s Bench in October of 2020, has made another court appearance, and will be back June 17th.
34-year-old Dylan Bodnariuk is facing charges from an October 2016 traffic stop near Fort Qu’Appelle, where police discovered a loaded handgun, a shotgun, cocaine, and a large amount of cash.
