An update in the case of a George Gordon’s First Nation man, charged with First Degree Murder, in the September 2016 death of former Yorkton resident Mackenzie Keshane.
In December, in Regina Court of Queen’s, 30-year-old Cody Gordon pled guilty to Manslaughter, and was sentenced to 12 years in prison, though with credit for time served, he has another 6-1/3 years to spend in jail.
Meanwhile, in February, he received an 18-month concurrent sentence, after pleading guilty to Trafficking Methamphetamine, in connection with a June 2017 drug and weapon bust on the George Gordon’s First Nation.
