A youth is in custody after a robbery at a gas station in Dauphin.

Early Saturday morning, Dauphin RCMP responded to the scene on Main Street where four masked males entered the business, threatened an employee with a firearm, then ran off with a large amount of merchandise.

The employee gave chase and with the assistance of two bystanders, tackled the armed suspect and held him down until officers arrived.

A 14-year-old male from Dauphin was remanded in custody facing several charges including Robbery and Assault with a Weapon, while the other three suspects remain at large.
