Sask’s Ombudsman Retires

After 8 years in the post, Mary McFayden is retiring as Saskatchewan’s Ombudsman, effective May 6th. While the search for a permanent replacement is underway, the government has named Greg Sykes May acting Ombudsman and Public Interest Disclosure Commissioner as of May 7th. McFayden, who says she plans on taking it easy as she enters retirement, was appointed to the post in April, 2014, and has since made more than 250 recommendations.
