It’s been a record-breaking year for Saskatchewan’s Highway Hotline, with more than 13 million “hits” this past year. That’s more than double the number of hits in a normal year. Steve Shaheen with the Ministry of Highways says during the winter it reports on road conditions primarily impacted by weather while in the summer the hotline leans towards construction updates. They have a number of road staff as well as real time cameras constantly updating current conditions.
