Expect Overland Flooding In Manitoba

Heavy rain in Manitoba this weekend has increased the risk of overland flooring, Flood warnings continue on the Assiniboine river from St. Lazare to Brandon, and the Shellmouth Dam is being operated to reduce levels. Overland flooding is also taking place in Red River and Interlake,and central and southern regions. Parts of Manitoba, notably the Red River basin have had up to 160 mm of precipitation since April 1st, some 400 to 600 times the normal amount.
