After an extensive search that began in late-April, RCMP confirmed a wanted Swan River man has been caught.
31-year-old Matthew Barker was arrested without incident at a business in Winnipeg around 8:30 this morning (Fri).
He was the subject of multiple arrest warrants in Saskatchewan and Manitoba. Barker is facing 7 charges, including possession of stolen property, in connection to an incident last Tuesday (Apr. 26th) in Aylsham, Saskatchewan.
Police tried to stop a stolen pick-up in that community, but the driver sped off and it was later found abandoned in the R.M. of Bjorkdale.
RCMP will provide an update on a court date, including a time and location, when it becomes available.
