A Man Charged In 2 Regina Accidents Was Back In Court

A man charged following a pair of hit-and-run incidents in Regina late last year has a new court date. 33-year-old Jonas Bellegarde, of the Muscowpetung First Nation, is facing Dangerous Driving Causing Bodily Harm and Failure to Stop after an accident, when he appears in Regina Court on May May 25th. On December 22nd, Regina Police were called to a report of a hit-and-run involving a truck on the 400 block of Lorne Street, then shortly after a second collision was reported at a parking lot of a business on Albert Street and 4th Avenue North. Police determined the same vehicle was involved in both incidents; a passenger in the SUV involved in the second collision suffered non-life threatening injuries, while the suspect suffered a lower-body injury.
