Minimum wage in Manitoba could see a larger increase, after the introduction of new legislation.
Bill 44 would allow the provincial government to mandate a larger increase to the minimum wage when inflation in Manitoba exceeds 5% in the first quarter of a calendar year.
Currently on October 1st, Manitoba is set to increase minimum wage by 40-cents to $12.35 an hour.
Even with the increase, Manitoba would have the lowest minimum wage in Canada.
