Slow Progress In Seeding In Manitoba

Wet and slowly drying soils have presented numerous problems for farmers, according to the weekly Manitoba crop report. Seeding progress in Manitoba sits at about 40 percent complete, well behind the 5-year average of 91 percent for this time of year. Manitoba Agriculture’s Amir Farooq says the western side of the province has fared better than the east.
